ABout the Program
Knowing that military food insecurity was at an alarming 24%, affecting families far beyond our Kansas location, we recognized the need for a solution that could break geographic boundaries while still delivering support with dignity and care. From this vision, the Stronghold Ambassador Program was born—an innovative initiative designed to extend our reach and support military families worldwide.
We are incredibly grateful to the Uncommon Grit Foundation for believing in this vision and helping us bring it to life in 2023. We are also proud to highlight the leadership of our very first Ambassador, Ashley Gutermuth—a renowned comedian, military family advocate, and Air Force spouse. Ashley’s commitment to supporting military families extends beyond her local community, as she takes Stronghold’s mission around the world with her comedy tours.
In 2024, Stronghold’s Ambassador Program was honored with the prestigious Fisher House Service Award for its innovation and high-impact work within the military community.
