Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Stronghold Food Pantry. We are deeply grateful for your willingness to share your time, talents, and heart in service to military families facing food insecurity. Every volunteer plays a meaningful role in helping us serve with dignity, compassion, and care.

Stronghold Food Pantry is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a proud participating organization of the President’s Volunteer Service Award, and a certified organization with the Army Volunteer Corps. We take our responsibility to our volunteers, partners, and the military community seriously, and we are committed to creating volunteer experiences that are both impactful and purposeful.

Whether you are seeking in-person opportunities at our brick-and-mortar location at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, supporting families at one of our Pop-Up Pantry events, or are interested in remote volunteer roles such as administrative support, donor development, communications, or grant assistance, there are many ways to serve alongside Stronghold. Volunteers outside the Fort Leavenworth area are welcomed and encouraged to apply; applications and interviews for remote or off-site roles are coordinated individually to ensure the best fit.

To ensure every volunteer is well-prepared and supported, Stronghold utilizes an intentional onboarding process that includes orientation and required volunteer documentation. Volunteer applications are reviewed thoughtfully, and selected applicants will be contacted with next steps prior to orientation.​
