ABout the Program
Knowing that military food insecurity was at an alarming 24%, affecting families far beyond our Kansas location, we recognized the need for a solution that could break geographic boundaries while still delivering support with dignity and care. From this vision, the Stronghold Ambassador Program was born—an innovative initiative designed to extend our reach and support military families worldwide.

We are incredibly grateful to the Uncommon Grit Foundation for believing in this vision and helping us bring it to life in 2023. We are also proud to highlight the leadership of our very first Ambassador, Ashley Gutermuth—a renowned comedian, military family advocate, and Air Force spouse. Ashley’s commitment to supporting military families extends beyond her local community, as she takes Stronghold’s mission around the world with her comedy tours.

In 2024, Stronghold’s Ambassador Program was honored with the prestigious Fisher House Service Award for its innovation and high-impact work within the military community.
We’re excited to continue this journey of growth, empowerment, and lasting change—one Ambassador at a time.

Become an Ambassador
Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of military families? As a Stronghold Ambassador, you’ll join a powerful movement—one that combines innovation with compassion, breaking down barriers and delivering essential support to families in need wherever they serve.

Our Ambassadors are not just volunteers—they are change-makers, building trust, creating human connection, and empowering military families to thrive. You’ll help expand Stronghold’s reach to new installations and communities, ensuring no family faces hunger alone.

At Stronghold, we grow sustainably and intentionally, reviewing each application thoughtfully to ensure every Ambassador is set up for success and that our mission continues to serve families year after year.

If you’re passionate about supporting military families and ready to step into a leadership-oriented volunteer role, we invite you to apply.
