Annual Pack the Backpack
At Stronghold, we believe that getting ready for the school year should be a time of excitement, not stress, especially for military families who are already juggling the challenges of relocation season. That’s why we’re proud to host our annual Pack the Backpack event—a heartwarming initiative designed to ease the back-to-school burden and help military families feel supported and send their kids off to school with confidence.

The backpack is customized to fit the unique needs of every child registered. It’s more than just school supplies—it’s about giving kids the tools to succeed, while making them feel valued and excited for the year ahead.
Each year, we collect school supply lists from local schools to create customized, grade-specific backpacks for every child registered. From crayons for kindergartners to notebooks and graph paper for high schoolers, we ensure that each backpack is tailored to meet the unique needs of every student. Our goal is to support military families by providing not only essential school supplies, but also back-to-school snacks, fresh food, and the tools kids need to succeed—while making the whole family feel valued and excited for the year ahead.
