Stronghold Food Pantry is committed to removing the stigma and easing the burden on military families facing food insecurity. Our mission is to serve American military families with care and dignity by providing food, necessities and resources whenever and wherever they are needed. Through in-person pantry access, support through the Stronghold Ambassador Program and one-day Pop-Up Pantries, Stronghold is committed to meeting the unique needs of currently serving military families.


Food assistance for military families at Fort Leavenworth


If you’re a military family near Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, you can shop in person at our headquarters through our weekly open pantry and special distribution events. Our pantry is stocked with a variety of nutritious options designed to support you and your loved ones. This support is welcoming, confidential, and provided with dignity.

Nationwide food assistance through Stronghold Ambassador Program


For military families located outside Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Stronghold offers nationwide delivery through the Stronghold Ambassador Program. Ambassadors shop for well-balanced groceries for you and your family, considering allergies and household size, then deliver them directly to your home.

How to request nationwide support


To request food assistance from our ambassadors, complete the confidential Nationwide Request Form.



One-day Pop-Up Pantries at military installations


Stronghold hosts scheduled, one-day Pop-Up Pantries at military installations across the country. These events are available only to military families assigned to that installation on the date and time of the event.


Pop-Up Pantries bring Stronghold’s dignity-first model directly to the community, serving 50+ families in just a few hours. Each family receives specially curated grocery kits designed to provide up to 21 meals, with accommodations for allergies, religious restrictions and household size.



Check our events page to see if a Stronghold Pop-Up Pantry is coming to your community this year. If you do not see one available near you, you can request Pop-Up Pantry Support.


No military family should have to navigate food insecurity alone. Whether you are stationed at Fort Leavenworth, serving at another installation across the country or living overseas, Stronghold Food Pantry is committed to helping currently serving military families access support with care, dignity and confidentiality.
